Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Joyería KY-8 processes when you visit this site or contact us, why it processes them, and what you can require of us.
It is written in accordance with Law 149/2022 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Cuba.

You may raise any matter concerning your data through either of those two channels.
First, because hardly anyone expects it
Browsing this catalogue does not require you to give us any personal data at all.
This site has no user accounts, sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics tools and shares your activity with no advertising networks. You can see the whole of it without identifying yourself.
The one exception is the map in the «Visit us» section, which is served by Google and may set cookies of its own. The cookie policy explains it, along with how to avoid it.
Personal data appear only when you decide to write to us, and they are exactly what you decide to write.
What is processed, and why
These are the only three situations in which this site handles data.
If you write to us on WhatsApp or by email
- What data: your phone number or email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write to us.
- Why: to answer your enquiry, tell you about a piece and, if you decide to buy it, arrange collection and payment.
- Nature: entirely voluntary. The only consequence of withholding them is that we cannot reply to you.
- Basis: your own initiative in writing to us, which Law 149/2022 accepts as a form of consent.
- For how long: the conversation stays in the phone or email history of the business for as long as it remains useful in serving you. You may ask us to delete it.
If you merely visit a page
- What data: our hosting provider automatically records the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type.
- Why: to keep the site running, detect faults and curb automated abuse.
- Nature: a technical record inseparable from the operation of any web server.
- They are not combined with any other data and are not used to build a profile of you.
- For how long: these are short-lived records, managed by the provider.
If you press the WhatsApp enquiry button
- What data: it is recorded that the button was pressed on a particular piece. Who pressed it is not recorded.
- Why: to learn which pieces attract most interest and order the catalogue better.
- The record is an aggregate count. It stores no identifiers, not your IP address, and it does not allow your path through the site to be reconstructed.
Who your data are disclosed to
We do not sell, rent or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. Only the providers needed for the site to work are involved:
- Cloudflare, Inc. Hosts the site and protects it against attacks. Processes the technical records described above.
- WhatsApp, of Meta Platforms, Inc. If you choose that channel, the conversation takes place on their platform and is also subject to their own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
- Google LLC. The map in the «Visit us» section is served by Google: when it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its cookies, without you having to click anything. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser prevents this and does not affect the rest of the site.
Processing outside Cuba
Cloudflare servers are located outside Cuban national territory, so the technical records described above are processed abroad.
We say so expressly because it is information you have the right to know before you carry on browsing, rather than once it is too late.
Data concerning minors
This site is aimed at adults and does not request data from minors. If you are under 18, consult your mother, father or guardian before writing to us.
What you can require of us
Law 149/2022 grants you, over your own data, the rights of:
- Access: to know what data of yours we hold and where they came from.
- Rectification: to correct data that are inaccurate or incomplete.
- Cancellation: to ask that we delete them once they are no longer needed.
- Objection and non-disclosure: to ask that we stop processing them or that they not be passed to third parties.
To exercise them, write to joyeria.ky.8@gmail.com or to WhatsApp +53 5434 1978 stating which right you wish to exercise. We will reply as promptly as possible and, in any event, within thirty calendar days of your request.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may pursue the administrative or judicial route provided for in Law 149/2022 itself.
Security
The site is always served encrypted over HTTPS. Access to the administration panel is restricted and the operations carried out there are logged.
No system is invulnerable, so we do not promise you absolute security. What we do undertake is to keep our measures current and to tell you if something happens that affects you.
Changes to this policy
If we change the way we handle data, we will update this text and the date shown at the top. We keep earlier versions and can provide them on request.
