Cookie policy
This site uses the minimum possible: it sets no cookies of its own, and loads only one third-party cookie, the map's.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device so as to recognise it on later visits. They are used to keep sessions open, remember preferences or, very often, to follow what people do across different sites for advertising purposes.
Our own cookies
None. Joyería KY-8 sets no cookies on your device.
There are no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers and no Google Analytics.
Third-party cookies: the map
The «Visit us» section shows a Google Maps map. That map is served by Google, and when it loads **Google may set its own cookies** in your browser and learn your IP address.
It is the only exception in the whole site, and we accept it because knowing where the shop is, is why many people come here.
What you can do if you would rather not:
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings. The rest of the site works exactly the same; you simply will not see the map.
- Use private or incognito mode, where those cookies are cleared on closing.
- Read the written address, which sits right beside the map and loads nothing.
What Google does with those data is governed by its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Local storage
The site stores one thing in your browser, and it is not a cookie: when you press «Ask on WhatsApp» on a piece, the time of that moment is noted so the same enquiry is not counted twice within six hours.
It is anonymous, it stays on your device, it is not sent anywhere and it cannot identify you. You can remove it by clearing the site data in your browser.
How the language is remembered, then
It is not. The language is decided on each visit from the preference your own browser sends, and you can change it with the selector in the menu. That choice travels in the address of the page, not in a file saved on your machine.
Other third-party sites
The links to WhatsApp and our social networks lead to outside sites which do use cookies of their own. That happens beyond this site and is governed by the policy of each of them.

If we were to add another cookie in future, we would update this page before doing so and explain what it is, what it does and how long it lasts.
